• Simple Holiday Table

This past weekend we had a Friends Dinner and our only job was to host the gathering.  With this being my only task I wanted to create a simple but pretty table without going to a lot of expense.  I gathered everything I had and decided to purchase three things; cloth napkins, flowers and wrapping paper.  See below how I brought it all together.

2017 Holiday Table-13Using festive wrapping paper I created placemats for six of the eight settings, laying the paper the entire width of the table.  I purchased this paper from Nugget, but really any wrapping paper will do.

I stacked a dinner and salad plate and tied a cloth napkin and utensils with gold ribbon.  I added a bread plate, a mercury glass votive with candle and a water glass to complete each setting.  I lit the candles just before we sat down to dinner.

At the center of the table, between the two place settings, I placed a mason jar with flowers and surrounded the base of the mason jar with olive tree clippings from our yard.  I then repeated this for the other two sections.

Finally, I added two larger flower arrangements (using vase from previous arrangements) between the settings.  I left plenty of space around the table to allow for the food to be served.

    What I purchased:
    Flowers: Nugget
    Wrapping Paper: Nugget
    Cloth Napkins: Target

    What I already have:
    Dinner Plates: Ikea
Salad & Bread Plate: Noritake Chandon
    Mason Jars
    votive candles and holders
    Utensils
    Gold ribbon and twine
